Administrative Services

The department of Administrative Services plays an integral role in LCG's ability to accomplish its mission and objectives. The Consolidated Government’s mission is to enhance the quality of life by providing cost-effective, high quality services that meet the needs and expectations of the citizenry. While this department does not provide services directly to the public, the performance and productivity of its employees directly influence the capability of those departments whose mission is to perform a tangible service and/or product to the citizens of the community. The following divisions represent the department of Administrative Services:

Records Management
When city and parish governments merged in 1996 to form the present-day Consolidated Government, a significant volume of records was combined as well. In order to better manage and organize these records, Lafayette Consolidated Government has created a Records Management Division within the Department of Administrative Services.

Operations
The Operations Division consists of three sections - Human Resources, Communications, and Printing.

Risk Management
The Risk Management division consists of Group Insurance, Safety, Claims, Wellness and the Nurses office.

Workforce Investment Board
The Lafayette Workforce Investment Board serves Lafayette Parish and receives federal money that is used to provide a variety of services to businesses and job seekers through the Lafayette Business and Career Solutions Center.
