Scott native and lifelong resident of District 1 Purvis Morrison is a 17 year contract bus driver for the Lafayette Parish school system. His professional career has revolved around Purvis being a third generation bus driver. He has also been very busy in the business community as the owner of businesses in Lafayette Parish (Morrison’s Paint & Body Shop and Top Cuts Barber & Beauty Shop). He is a graduate of Acadiana High School and received a License Barber certification from Lafayette Technical College.
Purvis is the son of Willis Morrison and his deceased Mother Mary Grace Morrison who he misses deeply. He is married to his lovely wife Mary of 27 years; they are blessed with 3 children Shanea, Shelly, and Shawn.
Politically Purvis brings government experience as a past Councilman for the City of Scott where he was very helpful in working with everyone to improve his district along with the entire city.
