Jared Bellard grew up in Lafayette and is proudly serving his first term as Councilman. He is a graduate of Lafayette High School (’91) and the University of Southwestern Louisiana (’96). Jared is a Certified Professional Landman whose career has been in the oil and gas industry since 1996. He is currently the founder and owner of Bellard & Company, Inc., A Professional Land Company, based in Lafayette.
Jared is a member of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and a graduate of the Leadership Lafayette program (Class XIX). He is also a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Lafayette Association of Petroleum Landmen, where he served as President (2005-2006), 1st Vice President (2004-2005) and Secretary (2003-2004) and was also voted Outstanding Member of the Year (2005-2006).
Jared is an avid golfer (Board Member of the Scott Golf Association) and outdoorsman. He is married to Carla Villien Bellard of Maurice, Louisiana, and they have a son, Cooper Paul. He is eager to start serving the community in which he has been so active and involved.
