Lafayette native Bruce Conque owns and operates an advertising, marketing and public relations consulting service. His professional career has revolved around the broadcast and communications industry including 18 years in radio and television news. In addition, he has extensive management experience as proprietor of a video production company for two decades and as special projects and production management in television broadcasting.
Professionally, Bruce has been recognized as Diplomat of the Year by the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce of which he is a member and active in the National, State and Local Affairs Committees and has chaired the chamber’s Diplomat Committee. He is also a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award and Lifetime Achievement Award from the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters, and the Silver Medal Award from the Acadiana Advertising Federation, and is a past president of both organizations.
Civic activities include:
- Rotary Club of Lafayette North (2002-2003 Rotarian of the Year, past Secretary, current Vice-President and President-elect)
- United Way of Acadiana (Loaned Executive)
- Scenic Lafayette (founder and Secretary-Treasurer)
- Lafayette Photographic Society (Past President)
- Faith House, Trees Acadiana, the Lafayette Parish Public Library, the American Cancer Society and St. Joseph’s Diner.
In addition, he served on the Lafayette In a New Century (LINC) Steering Committee and is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class XVII.
Bruce and Aline have been married for 40 years and have one daughter.
