Lafayette City-Parish Council District Six Sam Dore, Council Member Sam Dore was born Jan. 1, 1961 in Lafayette, and is the second son of Merrill DeClouet and Raymond S. Dore. He attended Our Lady of Fatima School first through 12th grades, and graduated in 1979. He then attended USL, now UL-Lafayette. In 1985, he married the former Cynthia Prince, and together they have one son, Bradley Prince Dore, who attends St. Thomas More High School. Sam is a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where he serves as an usher at weekly masses, and is also active in scouting. As a life-long resident of District 6, Sam has always been interested in local issues. He plans to bring a common sense approach to the Lafayette City-Parish Council. He likes to think he is an open-minded and approachable man who strives to do what is right. He will be the voice of his constituents in District 6. |
