Drug Operation Yields 12 Arrest

As the result of a 2 month long investigation by the Lafayette Metro Narcotics Unit, search warrants and arrest warrants were served in Lafayette on June 30, 2010. Officers from Metro Narcotics, the Lafayette Police Department, Lafayette Sheriffs Office, Lafayette City Marshals Office, U. S. Marshals Office and the Louisiana State Police targeted 4 areas. These areas were in the Azalea Park area, Walker Road, Sternberg Road and Helen Street. The following suspects were arrested on drug warrants:

1. Chase Chaisson (18) of Lafayette - 2 Drug Warrants
2. Joshua Broussard (19) of Lafayette - 2 Drug Warrants
3. Allen Francis (18) of Lafayette - 2 Drug Warrants
4. Tony Celestine (22) of Duson - 1 Warrant
5. Jacob Tolliver (18) of Lafayette - 1 Drug Warrant
6. Joseph Mouton (19) of Lafayette - 1 Warrant
7. Jerome Goodman (23) of Lafayette - 1 Warrant
8. Derrick Despanie (28) of Lafayette - 1 Warrant
9. James Ledoux (47) of Lafayette - 1 Warrant
10. Samuel B. Semien of Lafayette - Narcotics Arrest
11. Valerie Ledet of Lafayette - Narcotics-Misdemeanor Summons
12. Samatha Semien of Lafayette - Narcotics Arrest

In addition, agents recovered stolen computer equipment, a stolen firearm, over $4500.00 in illegal narcotics and $11,000 in cash.
