Suspect Arrested and Charged with Forcible Rape

 On August 9, 2010, at approximately 1:00 pm, a 15 year old male victim reported that he was sexually assaulted while walking in the area of Antique Alley and the NE Evangeline Thruway. According to the victim, the suspect walked up from behind him and began choking him. The suspect then allegedly forced the victim to perform sexual acts with him.

During the course of the investigating, detectives were able to develop a suspect. Donald Eaglin, Jr. (43) of Lafayette was detained and questioned on August 10, 2010. As a result of the ongoing investigation, Eaglin was arrested and charged with Forcible Rape. The case remains under investigation.
