Convenience Store Clerk Robbed at Knife Point

On August 24, 2010, at approximately 2:45 am, a black male suspect dressed all in black clothing entered the Cracker Barrel store, located at 724 Eraste Landry Road, carrying a large hunting knife. The suspect approached the counter and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and her purse. The suspect was last seen running north from the store. The clerk was not injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’00” tall and 170 lbs wearing a baseball cap with black clothing.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
