UPDATE Sandwich Shop Robbed at Gunpoint

Lafayette, LA – On December 7, 2013, detectives with the Lafayette Police Department arrested Joshua Babineaux (28) of Lafayette and charged him with Armed Robbery. Babineaux is alleged to have been one of two suspects involved in the robbery of a local sandwich shop. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives attempt to identify the second suspect involved.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the suspect is encouraged to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.

Sandwich Shop Robbed at Gunpoint

Lafayette, LA - On November 26, 2013, at approximately 7:35 pm, Lafayette Police responded to an armed robbery in the 200 block of Donlon. The 2 black male suspects entered the business wearing dark clothing, gloves and bandanas covering their faces. One of the suspects was armed with a shotgun and demanded money from the employees. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene running towards Moss Street. No employees were injured during the robbery.

Detectives are asking anyone with informatio about the robbery or the identity of the suspects to contact Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
