UPDATE II: Jamikal Phillips Arrested at Local Hotel

Lafayette, LA – At approximately 3:30 am this morning, Lafayette Police arrested Jamikal Phillips without incident at a local hotel in Lafayette.  Phillips was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

UPDATE: Two Suspects Arrested, One Wanted in Bank Robbery

Lafayette, LA – Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department have arrested Ronald Taylor Jr. (17) and Roderick R. Cormier (27), both of Lafayette, charging them with Principal to Armed Robbery.  They are alleged to have participated in the bank robbery.  An arrest warrant has been issued for the arrest of Jamikal Phillips (17) of Lafayette for Armed Robbery.  Phillips is alleged to have entered the bank on December 10, 2013 and robbed the bank at gunpoint.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Jamikal Phillips is encouraged to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.

Robbery of Credit Union on W. Willow Investigated
Original Release: December 10, 2013

Lafayette, LA – On December 10, 2013, at approximately 11:00 am, Lafayette Police responded to an armed robbery at a Credit Union in the 1400 block of West Willow Street. The suspect entered the business with a mask and approached the teller. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled the bank on foot into a wooded area, north of West Willow Street. There were no injuries in the business during the robbery.

Detectives were able to locate the suspect’s clothing in the wooded area. They continue to canvass the immediate area where the clothing was found. The suspect is a black male wearing light colored trousers’, a gray jacket and a yellow and black mask.
Detectives are encouraging anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the suspect to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
