Police Investigate Afternoon Robbery of a Convenience Store

Lafayette, LA – On December 10, 2013, at approximately 4:40 pm, Lafayette Police responded to the 2300 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway regarding an armed robbery. The suspect was observed being dropped off behind the business in a silver four door vehicle with missing paint from the hood. The suspect then entered the store and provided the clerk with a note, demanding the money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and then exited the store. Witnesses stated that the suspect entered the silver vehicle and the vehicle drove away west on Dulles Drive.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing black sweat pants, a red and black hooded sweat shirt and a piece of clothing covering his face. The clerk was not injured during the robbery.

Detectives are encouraging anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the suspect to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
