UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Home Invasion
Lafayette, LA – On February 19, 2014, Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department obtained two arrest warrants for Robert Lavergne (54) of Lafayette for Home Invasion and First Degree Robbery.  On March 10, 2014, Lavergne was arrested by officers of the Marksville Police Department.  The case remains under investigation.  
Identity of Suspect Sought in Home Invasion

Lafayette, LA – On February 17, 2014, at approximately 3:30 pm, Lafayette Police responded to the 100 block of Chicago Lane regarding a home invasion.  The victim advised police she was inside of her residence when the suspect forced open the door and entered the home.  The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim’s vehicle.  The vehicle was later located by police.  The victim received minor injuries during the incident.
Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male captured in surveillance video at a local convenience store.  He is believed to be the person responsible for the Home Invasion.  Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect or the crime is encouraged to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
