Suspects Sought in Attempted Armed Robbery

Lafayette, LA— On July 29, 2014 at approximately 1:10 am, Lafayette Police responded to the 1800 block of Eraste Landry Road in reference to an attempted armed robbery.  Witnesses stated they watched the two suspects, armed with handguns, approach the door to the business and look inside. For unknown reasons the suspects then ran behind the building and fled the area.  The first suspect is a black male wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and khaki shorts.  The second suspect is a black male wearing a dark shirt with dark pants.  Witnesses stated they saw the suspects being dropped off by a white four door vehicle shortly before the incident.
It is unknown if this robbery is related to the robbery that occurred earlier in the 100 block of West Gloria Switch Road.  There were no injuries reported.
Detectives are asking anyone with any information to contact Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
