Law Enforcement Walk Across Acadiana

​This evening, the local law enforcement agencies will participate in the first ever “Law Enforcement Walk Across Acadiana."  This will be the third community walk conducted by the Lafayette Police Department (LPD). LPD pleased to have additional agencies joint the walk to meet and commune with their citizens, as well.

Below is a list of the areas to be walked in the respective cities or municipalities. Residents are encouraged to meet their local officers during this time. 

Lafayette Police Department
Meeting at Downtown Library parking lot  (301 W Congress St.) at 5:30 p.m. The walk will begin at 6:00 p.m. through “The Block” neighborhood.

Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Department
Ile Des Cannes Subdivision located off of Herbert Road. Meeting at  5:30 p.m. at the Family Life Church (2223 Dulles Drive), at the Herbert Road entrance closest to Ile Des Cannes Subdivision. Sheriff Garber will have a short briefing and the walk will begin at 6:00 p.m.
