Reminder: Upcoming Town Hall Meetings on Lafayette Rural Fire District Millage Proposal

As the December 8, 2018 election approaches, Lafayette City-Parish Council Chairman Kevin Naquin, along with other Council Members and the Parish’s Volunteer Fire Departments (VFDs), seeks to provide detailed information and education on the proposed levy of a property tax for FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES within the UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF LAFAYETTE PARISH (which is the recently-formed Lafayette Rural Fire District). Citizens of the unincorporated parish are invited and encouraged to participate. These meetings will take place throughout Lafayette Parish all beginning at 6 p.m. as follows:

  • October 24:  Scott Civic Center, 110 Lions Club Rd, Scott, LA
  • October 25:  Youngsville Sports Complex (Recreation Ctr) 801 Savoy Rd, Youngsville, LA
  • November 7:  Lafayette Southside Library,  6101 Johnston St, Lafayette, LA
  • November 8:   Milton Civic Center, 100 Civic Ln, Lafayette, LA
  • November 12:   Lafayette Main Library (Downtown), 301 W Congress St, Lafayette, LA
  • November 14:  Judice Fire Station, 401 Ranch Rd, Duson, LA
