City-Parish President Joey Durel holds his second of seven town hall meetings tonight at the Clifton Chenier Center.
The town hall begins at 6 p.m. and will conclude by 7:30 p.m. In addition to a short presentation, residents will have an opportunity to ask their questions of Mr. Durel.
The presentation will focus on many of the conversation topics in the State of the Parish Address, held last month. The more intimate format will give Lafayette residents an opportunity to have their own questions answered.
The topics residents can expect to hear more about include the comprehensive planning process that is winding down, annexation possibilities between Lafayette and the small towns to help Parish Government, consolidation issues that can be tweaked, the airport proposal, and the creation of a public health millage by combining existing millages, along with the continuing discussion of a new performing arts center.
