Lafayette Consolidated Government announces dates for 2014 Annual Rabies Clinic

The 2014 Annual Rabies Clinic will be held from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 and Saturday, May 10. The locations for each date are listed below.
All pets must be properly contained and the cost is $7.00 per animal. Attendees are encouraged to come early with the paperwork completed (2014 Annual Rabies Clinic Flyer.pdf2014 Annual Rabies Clinic Flyer.pdf).  Organizers ask the public not to bring ferrets because the vaccine needed for ferrets must be administered at the veterinarian’s office.
This event is sponsored by Lafayette Animal Control and Lafayette area veterinarians.
Attendees are also instructed to consult their veterinarians regarding other vaccinations your pet should be given.  In addition, the public is reminded that there are fines associated with failure to vaccinate your pet against rabies.
