This Section is responsible for administrative support to the four major Sections that make-up the Operations and Maintenance Division. This includes:
- All clerical and secretarial support to handle routine paperwork such as Direct Pay Requisitions, Purchase Requisitions, Time Sheets for payroll, Absence Reports, Travel and Training Requests, Expense Reports, Personnel Actions, Printing Requisitions, Budgetary Revisions, etc., as well as all the incoming and outgoing correspondence and maintaining the official files for this entire Division.
- Supervises and manages the Public Works Dispatching operations which electronically processes and tracks in excess of 4,000 Requests for Service per Fiscal Year and is responsible for the management of the Public Works complaint process.
- Responsible for setting up and operating an Emergency Response Center during all storm events which includes the distribution of sand bags, clearing of roadways, storm drains, and earthen and concrete lined channels and assists in any manner needed as dictated by the Director of Civil Defense.
- The operation of a Tool Room for the acquisition, storage and distribution of various small engine equipment, hand tools, traffic calming devices, etc., utilized by the Streets and Drainage Divisions in maintaining streets and drainage infrastructure.
