The Vehicle Maintenance Division is responsible for maintaining approximately 1,502 pieces of equipment which include:

- 64 pieces of heavy equipment
- 11 forklifts
- 102 mowers
- 48 generators
- 8 street sweepers
- 9 pumps
- 122 trailers
- 10 compressors
- 6 motorcycles
- 2 wreckers
- 77 tractors
- 80 large tandem trucks
- 29 fire trucks
- 7 parish tankers
- 9 pump lift stations
- 90 SUV’s
- 7 boats
- 12 ATV wagons
- 55 miscellaneous items (example: motor mixer)
- 4 speed sign trailers
- 1 concrete truck
In excess of 3,100 preventive maintenance functions are performed annually on the fleet.
Primary Operating Functions:
- Prepare and develop specifications for Fleet/Equipment to be bid out for purchase
- Administer a preventative maintenance program for the LCG Fleet/Equipment
- Maintain a Fleet/Equipment and Parts Inventory
- Perform and oversee all Fleet/Equipment Repairs
- Perform Paint and Body repairs for the Fleet/Equipment
- Operate and Maintain two fueling stations
- Operate and Maintain a Small Engine Mechanic Shop
- Perform and Maintain Fleet/Equipment Maintenance Records
- Prepare Retired Vehicles for Public Auction
