Jay Castille, Council Member
Jay Castille was born and raised in Carencro and a life long resident of District #2. He has three children: Joseph “T-Jay” Castille III, Buddy Castille and Brandi Castille. Jay also has three grandchildren: Kaynon Castille, Dorian Castille, and KortMicheal Castille. Jay is the owner of Jay Castille Construction, Inc. and he also is a land developer.
Jay retired from the Lafayette Fire Department after 20 years of dedicated service to the community for which he received numerous commendations including the rescue of trapped victims and his Hazardous Materials services at the Eunice train derailment. During his career he served as President and Vice President of the Lafayette Professional Fire Fighters Association where he was awarded the Adam “Butch” Lacombe Distinguished Service Award, their highest honor. Jay also served as the Fourth District Vice President of the Professional Fire Fighters Association of Louisiana where he earned their Distinguished Service Award for dedicated service.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Maple Federal Credit Union and is a member of the Acadiana Home Builders Association, Louisiana Home Builders Association and the Carencro Business Association.

Jay graduated from Carencro High School and attended UL Lafayette.
