Collaborative Effort Saves Horse Farm Property  5/29/2009
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Community Foundation of Acadiana, and Lafayette Consolidated Government are pleased to announce their collaborative effort to dedicate nearly 100 acres of university property on Johnston Street, known as The Horse Farm for the development of a passive public park, preserving its natural beauty for use as walking trails, bike paths, gardens, green space and uses other than organized sports areas. Lafayette Police Department Releases Crime Stats  3/4/2009
LAFAYETTE - Below is a graph with the Uniform Crime Report for the crime statistics from 2007 to 2008 for the City of Lafayette. As illustrated on the chart, there was a 4.46 % decrease in total UCR crimes reported and a 3.10 % increase in the total calls for service. The Lafayette Police Department continues to work with the community in reducing the crime within the City of Lafayette. Read More
