Waste Collection Schedule for Mardi Gras Week
Allied Waste and the Recycling Foundation will not run their regularly scheduled garbage and recycling collection routes on Mardi Gras day in the city of Lafayette and unincorporated areas of Lafayette Parish. Regular Tuesday customers will receive garbage and recycling service the Wednesday following Mardi Gras.
Wednesday through Friday garbage and recycling customers will receive service on the day following their regularly scheduled collection day. The adjusted schedule includes regular Friday customers receiving garbage and recycling service on Saturday, March 12.
The Lafayette Consolidated Government compost facility at 400 Dugas Rd. will be closed Mardi Gras day and will reopen on Wednesday.
