The Facility Maintenance Division is responsible for the Operation and Maintenance and Capital Improvements (In Part) of over 100 City-Parish Facilities. This Division takes in between 1,500 – 2,000 requests for service annually. These requests for service are handled by both in-house personnel or contractually. The Administrative Section of this Division oversees and administers Capital Improvements Projects at various facilities of LCG. The Division also provides In-Kind services for Mardi Gras events. The Division is directly responsible for budget preparation and all aspects of maintenance operations at the Lafayette parish Courthouse, Sheriff’s Department, former Parish Government Building, War Memorial Building, and City Hall. The Division also provides assistance to over 100 facilities in other Departments/Divisions.
