CLASS TITLE: APPLICATION DEVELOPER (IS&T)
MINIMUM STARTING PAY: HOURLY - $20.52-$25.65/DOE, MONTHLY - $3,557-$4,446/DOE
PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Position performs basic tasks of the Information Services and Technology department, which includes analyzing business processes, proposing computer applications to automate, designing input screens, writing code as required, testing applications under development, implementing and troubleshooting applications, training users, and maintaining and documenting applications.
Baccalaureate degree in computer sciences, coursework in application development tools, and experience in computer application development; or an equivalent combination of training and experience are desired.
Positions in this class may be assigned to an apprenticeship as defined by Civil Service Rule IV, Section 6. This apprenticeship requires the employee to complete all initial and ongoing training requirements to demonstrate proficiency in Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET and SQL as established by the Information Services and Technology Department within two (2) years for continued employment.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION
Examination will be a written test.
