CLASS TITLE: PERSONNEL RECORDS MANAGEMENT CLERK
MINIMUM STARTING PAY: HOURLY - $13.72-$17.15/DOE, MONTHLY - $2,378-$2,973/DOE
PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Positions in the classification are responsible for the management of records, both electronically and manually, according to policies and regulations of the assigned department. Incumbents assist in one or more areas that may include new employee processing, employee records maintenance, payroll administration, retirement system interfacing, contract and project records, as well as employee development and training tasks. Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed periodically or upon completion for quality and conformance to policies or rules. Work demands accuracy.
Completion of high school, supplemented by college level coursework in secretarial sciences, and experience (depending on area of assignment) in the field of human resources, civil service and/or records management are desired; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION
Examination will be a written test.
