DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ON OLE COLONY ROAD EXTENDED

Lafayette, LA – Improvements on Ole Colony Road have been extended by three months, weather permitting, to complete the installation of subsurface drainage. The completion of relocating sewer lines was anticipated to be two weeks. Extending the timeline will allow the contractor to complete the subsequent installation of storm drain pipes and catch basins to convert the open-ditch drainage system to subsurface drainage and to replace the effected driveways. The sewer line relocation and other utility work had to be performed prior to the drainage work.

There will be no thru traffic during construction. Drivers west of the bridge will use Westgate Road, and drivers east of the bridge will use Ambassador Caffery Parkway.
