AUSTRIA ROAD BRIDGE CLOSING 

Lafayette, LA – The Austria Rd. Bridge south of Duson crossing Bayou Queue de Tortue between B Robin Rd. and Landry Rd. is in disrepair and closing indefinitely. Signs indicating no crossing allowed were placed at the wooden bridge this afternoon. 

Located on a gravel road in an area not heavily travelled, the bridge will be removed on Friday, May 26. A new bridge is in the design stage, but construction is pending funding.
