UPCOMING BLUEBIRD DRIVE CLOSURES

Lafayette, LA – Bluebird Drive will be closed at the bridge crossing between Comeaux Recreation Center and Ovey Comeaux High School (OCHS) starting on Monday, February 5, 2024. This first phase of the closure is estimated to remain in place for two months.

The closure will then move to the west side of the park for another two months (four months total, possibly extending for weather related work stoppages). This closure is necessary to connect the new pavement section which is currently under construction to the existing bridge structure.

Motor vehicles will need to access OCHS via E. Martial Avenue or Digby Avenue, or East Bluebird Drive coming from Camellia Boulevard. Detour signs will be made available.
