PARC ANNOUNCES 2026 SUMMER CAMP OPPORTUNITIES AT FOUR LAFAYETTE RECREATION CENTERS
Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Culture (PARC) Department is excited to announce several summer camp opportunities for kids ranging from 5-12 years old across Lafayette this summer. Camps will be offered at Heymann Recreation Center, Girard Recreation Center, MLK Recreation Center, and Robicheaux Recreation Center, providing fun, safe, and engaging experiences for children throughout the summer months. Camp information is as follows:
Camp Ignite
- Dates: June 1 through July 10 *Excludes Week of June 29
- Time: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Location(s): Heymann Recreation Center & Girard Recreation Center
- Cost: $125 per camper registration
- Camp Ignite is PARC’s signature summer camp program focused on learning, exploration, creativity, and recreation. Campers will participate in games, arts activities, outdoor play, and structured programming designed to keep youth active and engaged during the summer. Breakfast and lunch are provided daily.
- Registration: Open now through May 15 or until capacity is reached for each location (100 campers.) You can register your camper for Camp Ignite by clicking here.
Camp Inspire
- Dates: June 1 through July 10 *Excludes Week of June 29
- Time: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Location(s): Martin Luther King Recreation Center
- Cost: $35 per camper registration
- Camp Inspire is a community-led, volunteer-supported camp, designed to keep costs low while providing youth with fun activities, creative expression, and meaningful group experiences. Breakfast and lunch are provided daily.
- Registration: Registration will take place in person at MLK Recreation Center Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. until March 15, 2016 or until capacity is reached (100 campers.)
Camp Kaleidoscope
- Dates: May 26 – August 7
- Time: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Location(s): Robicheaux Recreation Center
- Cost: $75 per week
- Camp Kaleidoscope is a specialty summer program in partnership with a community provider offering creative and educational summer programming for attendees.
