BRIDGE ON MAPLE DRIVE TO CLOSE FOR REPAIRS BEGINNING MAY 19

Lafayette, LA – The bridge on Maple Drive, located between Spruce Drive and Birch Drive, will be closed to all through traffic beginning Monday, May 19, 2025, as crews perform structural repairs including splicing timber piles and replacing concrete along the vertical wall of the drainage channel. The closure is expected to remain in place through Friday, June 20, 2025, weather permitting.

Detour routes will be clearly marked and include:

• Birch Drive
• Idlewood Boulevard
• Spruce Drive

While the bridge is closed, local access will be maintained. Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the area and follow posted signage.
