MAYOR-PRESIDENT NAMES KEVIN NAQUIN AS CONSTITUENT SERVICES ADVISOR
Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Mayor-President Monique B. Boulet has named Kevin Naquin to serve as Constituent Services Advisor within the Mayor-President’s Office, effective January 5, 2026.
In this role, Naquin will play a key part in ensuring Lafayette residents have a clear, responsive connection to local government. He will work directly with constituents to address concerns, navigate city-parish services, and coordinate with LCG departments to resolve issues impacting neighborhoods and quality of life across Lafayette Parish.
“I am excited to welcome Kevin back to LCG and to my executive team,” said Mayor-President Boulet. “His has a unique knowledge of LCG as a former Council Chair, as well as his deep understanding of the challenges Lafayette faces and a deep love for our way of life.”
A lifelong resident of Lafayette Parish, Naquin previously served eight years on the Lafayette City-Parish Council, representing District 1, and later served on the Lafayette Parish Council representing District 2. During his tenure, he was elected by fellow council members to serve as Council Chairman in 2014 and 2018, and Vice Chairman in 2013 and 2017. As chairman, Naquin appointed a citizen-led committee to review parish funding needs and served on multiple departmental liaison committees, as well as the parish Council of Governments.
Naquin is a graduate of Acadiana High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is the owner of Naq’s-n-Duson restaurant. He is also an award-winning Cajun musician, serving as frontman and accordion player for Kevin Naquin and the Ossun Playboys.
A resident of Duson, Naquin is married to his wife, Christy, and is the father of three and stepfather to two. He is an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church of Duson as well as Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and is a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Lafayette Republican Executive Committee (RPEC), and the State Central Committee. He remains involved in the community as a musician, coach, and advocate for pancreatic cancer research.
