2025 Millage Renewals

On November 15, 2025, Lafayette Parish voters will decide whether to renew two existing property taxes—called millages—that fund essential public services. These are NOT new taxes or tax increases—just a renewal of existing funding that supports core services. A rededication is also being proposed to increase drainage investments in the parish.

Salute to Service: An Afternoon in Moncus Park

Paper Shredding Day

Lafayette Consolidated Government and Keep Lafayette Beautiful invite residents to participate in the annual Paper Shredding Day, a free and secure way to dispose of sensitive documents. The event will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Robicheaux Recreation Center.

PARC LAUNCHES ONLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM

Lafayette’s Parks, Arts, Recreation & Culture Department has launched CivicRec, a convenient online system that makes it easier than ever to reserve recreation centers, athletic fields, and pavilions across Lafayette Parish. Residents can now view availability, submit requests, make secure payments, and receive instant confirmations — all in one place.

Household Hazardous Waste Day

Lafayette’s Environmental Quality Division invites residents to safely dispose of unwanted chemicals, electronics, and glass at Cajun Field on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 8 a.m.–12 p.m. Proper disposal helps protect our environment and community health.
