LOST A PET

Losing a pet is stressful, on both you and your pet.  It is always best to come by our facility to look for your lost pet in person.  If your dog is licensed and/or microchipped, we will attempt to contact you right away so that you can be reunited with your pet as soon as possible.  It’s very important to keep your contact information up to date with the microchip company.

Visit LASCC's website to look for your pet’s picture.  Our website is updated in real time, so please check it daily.

Call your pet’s microchip manufacturer and report your pet as lost.

Use the Finding Rover app, create your pet’s profile, and report it as lost. The Finding Rover app will utilize pet facial recognition software to search all of the shelters in the local area as well as any citizens who have reported a "found" pet that resembled your pet.

Post your lost pet on PawBoost as well as the “LASCC's Lost and Found Pets" Facebook page. PawBoost is like an AMBER Alert for lost pets. Millions of pet lovers have joined their Rescue Squad by signing up for localized lost & found pet alerts. More importantly, PawBoost has helped reunite over 1 million pets with their families. Posting is free, with optional premium services available.

Check any of the surrounding shelters in your area.

Ask your neighbors, mail carrier, or any other person in your neighborhood if they’ve seen your pet.
