Dorian Brabham, Deputy Chief of the Lafayette Police Department

Dorian Brabham was promoted to Deputy Chief in August 2025 and is a dedicated law enforcement professional with over two decades of experience. Throughout his tenure with the Lafayette Police Department, Deputy Chief Brabham has demonstrated exceptional leadership in multiple supervisory roles, most recently as a Police Sergeant.

In addition to his career in law enforcement, Deputy Chief Brabham served as a military police officer in the United States Army. He has earned numerous law enforcement certifications and is a graduate of prestigious programs including Northwestern University’s School of Police and Command Staff and the Police Executive Research Forum's Senior Management Institute for Police (SMIP). His academic accomplishments include a master’s degree from Columbia Southern University, as well as a bachelor’s degree from the same university.
