East Verot School Road Closure Sept. 28–29 Near Hwy. 90
OVERNIGHT ROAD CLOSURE: East Verot School Road at RailRoad crossing NEAR hwy 90
Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) announces the closure of East Verot School Road to perform overnight repairs at the railroad tracks located near the intersection of U.S. Hwy 90 from 9 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026, until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
Construction crews with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad will be performing repairs to the railroad crossing. Local access will be maintained and detour routes will be made available.
The detour routes will consist of:
- U.S. Hwy 90
- Kaliste Saloom Road
- South College Road
- Southpark Road
- West Pinhook Road
