Geographic Information Systems

Develops, maintains, and supports LCG’s enterprise Geographical Information System (GIS).

The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a Division of LCG’s Innovation and Technology Department. Its purpose is to collect, manage, analyze, and display geographically referenced information. The Division currently consists of an I&T Manager - GIS, a Database Administrator, a Systems Analyst, three GIS Analysts, and a GIS Technician.

The mission is to serve as a core support in assisting to make informed decisions by offering detailed spatial analysis and visualization for Lafayette Consolidated Government.

The GIS Division does map requests and custom GIS requests for the various Lafayette Consolidated Government departments and external agencies.
