Jenkins Road Closed for Bridge Replacement
ROAD CLOSURE: Jenkins ROAD FOR BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) announces the temporary closure of Jenkins Road beginning Friday, October 30, 2026 through Monday, March 1, 2027.
Crews plan to remove the existing timber bridge and replace with it with a box culvert, then reconstruct the roadway.
Through traffic is detoured along a signed route consisting of:
- Old Spanish Trail
- Tabb Road
- Fenetre Road
- Jenkins Road
Drivers should expect delays, exercise caution in the work zone, and allow additional travel time when navigating through the area.
