PARC Extends Open Swim Season Through October 4

LAFAYETTE PARC EXTENDS OPEN SWIM SEASON AT MARTIN LUTHER KING RECREATION POOL

LAFAYETTE, LA – Lafayette Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture (PARC) has extended the open swim season at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center pool through October 4, 2026, giving residents additional opportunities to enjoy the pool into the fall.

Beginning this weekend, the Martin Luther King Recreation Center pool will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The pool will operate on this weekend-only schedule through October 4.

Admission rates will remain the same for the remainder of the 2026 season:

• Adults: $5
• Children: $3

PARC encourages residents and families to take advantage of the extended season and enjoy additional opportunities to swim, stay active and cool off at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center.
