Rich Angel Drive Reopens After Drainage Improvements

Drainage improvement completed: RICH ANGEL DRIVE AT w. GLORIA SWITCH ROAD

Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) announces the re-opening of Rich Angel Drive at W. Gloria Switch Road (LA Hwy 98). The removal of deteriorated pipe and replacement of new, larger drainage pipe under the intersection is complete.

Additional drainage improvements will continue at Rich Angel Drive and Arpent Street. Traffic will remain accessible through alternate connections to W. Gloria Switch Road while the work is underway. These improvements will allow for better drainage throughout the area.

Road CLOSURE: RICH ANGEL DRIVE AT w. GLORIA SWITCH ROAD

Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) announces the road closure of Rich Angel Drive at W. Gloria Switch Road (LA Hwy 98) beginning Wednesday, September 2, 2026 through Friday, September 4, 2026.

The closure of the road is necessary for drainage crews to replace a deteriorated cross drain with a new reinforced concrete pipe. This project will improve drainage in the area.

Detour routes will be made available and will consist of:

• W. Gloria Switch Road (LA Hwy 98)
• Bloomfield Drive
• Arpent Street

Motorists are urged to proceed with caution through the work zones.
