Update: Luke Street Closure Extended to November 28

UPDATE: LUKE STREET CLOSURE EXTENDED TO NOVEMBER 28

Lafayette, LA – The closure in the 200 block of Luke Street, located between Wall Street and Dulles Drive, will now be closed to vehicular traffic until Friday, November 28, 2025.

Public Works Drainage crews are performing cross drain repairs under the roadway across Luke Street.

Detour routes include:

• Dulles Drive
• S. Long Street
• Wall Street

ROAD CLOSURE: 200 BLOCK OF LUKE STREET

Lafayette, LA – The 200 block of Luke Street, located between Wall Street and Dulles Drive, will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning Monday, November 10, 2025, through Friday, November 21, 2025.

Public Works Drainage crews will be performing cross drain repairs under the roadway across Luke Street.

Detour routes will be provided, and local access will be maintained for residents and businesses within the closure area.

Detour routes include:

• Dulles Drive
• S. Long Street
• Wall Street

Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the area and to follow all posted detour signage. Lafayette Consolidated Government appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during this necessary infrastructure repair.
