Growth Plan Public Meetings Continue in Lafayette Parish
GROWTH PLANNING PUBLIC MEETINGS CONTINUE ACROSS LAFAYETTE PARISH
Residents invited to Broussard to share input on the future of growth and development
Lafayette, LA – As Lafayette Parish continues to experience significant growth, Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) is inviting residents to help shape how that growth is planned for the future.
Community members are encouraged to attend the next Growth Planning Public Meeting on Monday, August 10, at 6:00 p.m. at the Broussard Event Center (406 E. Madison Street, Building B). The meeting is part of an ongoing planning effort focused on the unincorporated areas of Lafayette Parish and will gather public input to help guide future recommendations on housing, transportation, drainage, land use, infrastructure, and preserving the character of local communities.
During the meeting, residents will learn about:
- Population and growth trends
- Infrastructure impacts
- Existing transportation, drainage, and development challenges
Participants will also have opportunities to provide feedback on:
- Traffic congestion and transportation needs
- Flooding and drainage concerns
- Utilities and public services
- Infrastructure priorities and local “pain points”
- Community character and future development
Feedback gathered during the meeting will help inform the Lafayette Parish Growth Plan, which is intended to provide a long-term roadmap for managing growth, coordinating infrastructure investments, and ensuring future development reflects community priorities.
