Acadiana Park Campground

Nestled within the woodlands of Acadiana Park in Lafayette, Louisiana, the Acadiana Campground has been a long-time, cherished destination for nature enthusiasts and families. This campground, which recently reopened January 2, 2025, offers 75 camping spots with amenities including restrooms with showers, playgrounds, picnic areas, and direct access to the park’s extensive nature trails, recreational facilities, and nearby Nature Station. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, the Acadiana Campground is your gateway to an unforgettable outdoor experience in south-central Louisiana.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. Residential camping is not permitted. All campers are LIMITED to a maximum stay of 10 days. After 10 consecutive days, personal and camping equipment will be removed. 30 days must elapse before returning. There can be no exceptions without written authorization from the Lafayette PARC office. 
  2. The rental fee is $28.00 per pad per night. Fees are paid daily or in advance. One camping unit per pad is allowed. Extra camping units (tents) will be charged the regular rental fee of $28.00 each. An exception will be for children under 18 using separate tents on the same pad at no additional charge.   3. QUIET TIME is from 11:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m.
  4. FIREARMS, other weapons, and drugs are prohibited.
  5. DESTRUCTION of trees, such as nailing or chopping, is prohibited.
  6. The maximum SPEED LIMIT throughout the park is 5 miles per hour.
  7. Off-road motor vehicles are NOT ALLOWED in the campground. Golf carts are allowed with a licensed driver only.
  8. ALL EQUIPMENT and PERSONAL property brought into the camping area is the responsibility of the owner.
  9. WASHING of utensils, recreation vehicles, or clothing at faucets and bathhouses is prohibited.
  10. ALL campers should CLEAN their campsite before departure.
  11. Registered campers are RESPONSIBLE for their guests.
  12. FIRES ARE PERMITTED in Fire Rings Only. Campers are responsible for putting all fires out before leaving the park.
  13. ONLY campers and their invited relatives or guests will be permitted within the fenced enclosure of the campground.
  14. Black and Grey water are NOT allowed to be dumped on the ground. The dump station is located at the entrance near E. Alexander St.
  15. Check-in and check-out time is 3:00 p.m.
  16. No major construction to be done to campers at the campground.
  17. Do not remove dead wood, plants, or animals from the Nature Station Trails; all living and non-living organisms are protected within our nature preserve.
  18. Pets must be leashed at all times in the campground, park, and nature station trails.

CAUTION: FLASH FLOOD AREA

VIOLATION OF ANY OF THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE REMOVAL AND PERMANENT EXPULSION
