2027 Youth Basketball Season Registration OPEN!

The 2027 Lafayette PARC Youth Basketball season will begin in January, with registration being open starting October 23, 2026.

Adult Basketball Season coming in April 2027

The 2027 PARC Youth Basketball Program is built around competitive integrity and true player development through a Progressive Championship Model. All teams will compete in a 3-week seeding schedule, followed by a mid-season rebalance at the Mardi Gras break, separating the league into two flights: Champions Division (Competitive) and Rising Stars Division (Developmental). Standings reset to 0-0 for the second half, ending in separate Postseason Championship Tournaments.

• Registration Window: November 1 – December 12, 2026
• Mandatory Coaches Meeting & Free Training: November 18, 2026 (at Girard Park)
• Roster Cutoff: December 12, 2026 (No additions permitted after Dec. 12)
• Seeding Phase (3 games): January 9-28, 2027
• Mardi Gras Break & Rebalance: January 30 - February 6, 2027
• Official League Restart (3 Games): February 7-25, 2027
• Postseason Playoffs & Championships: March 2-13, 2027

Pricing & Registration Fees

• PARC Individual Registrants: $60.00 (Includes jersey)
• Association Registrants: Associations determine their own registration pricing.
• Residency Requirement: Must be a resident of Lafayette Parish.

Game Days & Locations

PARC schedules and absorbs costs for referees and table workers for all games.

• Game Days: Wednesdays (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM) | Saturdays (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
  • (Age groups alternate between Wednesday and Saturday game slots)
• Game Locations:

  • Dupuis Recreation Center
  • Martin Luther King Recreation Center (Wednesdays Only)
  • Robicheaux Recreation Center
  • Thomas Recreation Center

Game locations are subject to change based on the season and participating associations.

Practice Allocations & Policy

• Teams in good standing are allocated up to two (2) practice slots/week at PARC
  facilities.
• 48- Hour Forfeit Notice Required: Forfeiting games to attend non- PARC games is strictly unapproved.
  • 1st unapproved forfeit: Loss of practice gym allocation for the following week.
  • 2nd unapproved forfeit: Permanent revocation of practice privileges for the remainder of the season and review for postseason disqualification.

Eligibility

• Verification: School Demographic sheet or State ID required for all players.
• LHSAA Ineligibility Rule: Active LHSAA players (Freshman, JV, Varsity) are INELIGIBLE to participate in PARC recreation basketball.
• Postseason Attendance Rule (Rule C): Players must participate in at least 50% +1 of their team’s regular season games to be eligible for the postseason.
• Gameday Security: Clear Bag Policy enforced at all game sites, subject to inspection by the Marshal’s Office.
