Update: Taylor Street Road Closure

UPDATE: TAYLOR STREET ROAD CLOSURE

Lafayette, LA – The road closure on Taylor Street, between E. Congress Street and E. Vermillion Street, has been extended to February 11, 2026.

As part of the Hotel Lafayette project, located at 301 E. Vermilion Street, construction crews are performing utility infrastructure construction within the roadway.

Detour routes include:

• E. Vermilion Street
• Polk Street
• E. Congress Street
• Garfield Street
• Lee Avenue

Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the area and to follow all posted detour signage. Lafayette Consolidated Government appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation.

ROAD CLOSURE: TAYLOR STREET
