City District 3 - Liz Hebert

Liz Hebert returns for a second consecutive term representing Lafayette City Council District 3. She also served Lafayette Consolidated Government from 2016 to 2019 on the Lafayette City-Parish Council, having represented the former District 8, so she brings eight (8) years of experience as a Councilmember in this government, now serving in a third term. Councilwoman Hebert was born and raised in Lafayette. She is married to Aaron Hebert and is “dog mom” to Batman, aged 14 and Murphy, aged 4. She has been employed for the past eight (8) years with Surgery Partners and serves as Senior Director of Business Development. Councilwoman Hebert is a graduate of Teurlings Catholic High School and Northwestern State University. She is very proud and honored to have served two (2) terms, then to have run for a third term without opposition. Councilwoman Hebert hopes this is a testament to the work that she has done, along with her fellow Councilmembers, in being responsive, responsible, and bold in advocating for the needs of citizens, which only proves that the work she and the Council have done is recognized by the people she represents and that they are pleased with her representation of them. She also acknowledges that the positive relationship she shares with her constituency is indicative of the level of trust and support she receives from the community. Councilwoman Hebert credits her experience in Leadership Lafayette for getting her involved in her community and showing her that local government was an avenue to be able to implement positive change within the community she loves.
